Breaking: “transfer these players on” Dietmar Hamann instructs Jurgen Klopp to get rid of two Liverpool midfielders
Hamann tells Klopp to let go of two Liverpool midfielders, saying, “Move these players on.”
Dietmar Hamann has requested that Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, supervise the exits of two midfielders at the end of the current campaign.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, who both have contracts that expire at the end of the current campaign, are unsure about their futures with the team.
Throughout their tenure in Merseyside, the two Reds have battled persistent fitness and injury issues and have missed numerous crucial games for the squad.
Now, Klopp will be torn between keeping Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita and taking the chance that they will stay healthy for the upcoming season, or letting them go as free agents.
If he does permit them to leave, the board might be compelled to recruit suitable successors, and it’s well known that Liverpool are not very eager to frequently spend big money.
Hamann on Liverpool’s predicament with transfers
Hamann, a former midfielder for Liverpool, chimed in on the topic during a Sky Sports interview, saying: “I was quite astonished that there is even debate of extending the contracts of Oxlade-Chamberlain or Keita.
They haven’t performed nearly well enough to merit Liverpool even considering offering them a new contract. These players need to be transferred, in my opinion.
